I've always loved working with my hands, my earliest memories are helping my Father in his carpenters workshop. For years my chosen material was wood but in 2014 I decided to look for a new challenge and enrolled on a Blacksmith course - I was instantly hooked! So much so that later the same year I set up the Coach House Forge, located in a 19th Century agricultural building.
There is something uniquely satisfying in working with hot metal, the way the iron moves under the hammer, the way that an unprepossessing piece of steel can become an item of beauty and function.
It's good honest work and I love it!
Coach House Forge is a one man operation and I cover everything from design through to shipping . Hard work has it's own rewards and for me the biggest is the satisfaction I get from making items that people love. I've really enjoyed selling through Etsy, I've done business with wonderful folks all over the world!
Thanks for your interest and please do not hesitate to get in touch if you have any questions about what I do or how I do it!
